The Europe community of the RDA Steering Committee was established in 2016. EURIG (the European RDA Interest Group) serves as the organizing body for European representation on the RSC.

The Europe community succeeds previous constituency groups British Library (BL), Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP), Deutsche Nationalbibliothek (DNB), and the European RDA Interest Group (EURIG).
