The public agenda for the October 2022 asynchronous meeting of the RDA Steering Committee (RSC) meeting is now available. Because three proposals will be discussed, a Zoom call open to observers has been scheduled for Thursday 20 October (Friday in Oceania) at 1900 UTC/GMT. It will be a two hour call. The RSC offers apologies to those for whom this is an inconvenient time; as an international body, the group rotates calls throughout time zones to share the burden of middle-of-the-night calls. |

RSC Secretary-Elect appointed | 27 June 2022 |
The RSC is delighted to announce that Anne Welsh has been appointed to the position of RSC Secretary-Elect. Based in the United Kingdom, Anne runs a consultancy business under the brand Beginning Cataloguing, where her work is split into three areas of activity: writing, consultancy and training. She wrote the core textbook used to teach cataloguing in the Anglophone cataloguing community, Practical Cataloguing (London: Facet; Chicago: Neal-Schuman, 2012) and is completing its follow-up, Practical Cataloguing in the Hybrid Environment (London: Facet; Chicago: Neal-Schuman, 2022). |

There's still time to apply! The deadline to submit an application has been extended to 15 April 2022. The RDA Steering Committee (RSC) is seeking a qualified library professional to fill the role of RSC Secretary. The RSC Secretary provides administrative support to the international RDA Steering Committee (RSC), creates and preserves the official records and reports of the RSC, and serves as the primary content management system editor of RDA. |
New Release of RDA Toolkit and RDA Registry | 24 March 2022 |
RDA Toolkit Release The March 2022 release is the first since migration of the RDA Toolkit to new servers in January 2022. It includes updates to policy statements from the Library of Congress - Program for Cooperative Cataloging, the British Library and Music Library Association Best Practices.
