Members of the RSC participated in a meeting on "Impact of the IFLA Library Reference Model on ISBD, RDA and other bibliographic standards" at Wrocław University Library on 25 August 2017, following the IFLA World Library and Information Congress. The meeting was co-hosted by the RSC, NUKAT (the union catalogue of Polish academic and research libraries), the ISBD Review Group, and the EURIG/RDA Europe region, and it was chaired by Gordon Dunsire, the RSC Chair. The RSC thanks Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, for its sponsorship of the meeting. |

| RDA Translators Meeting in Madrid | 5 September 2017 |
The RDA Steering Committee plus Working Group Chairs (RSC+) will host a half-day (afternoon) meeting of RDA translators on Monday, 23 October 2017 at the Biblioteca Nacional de España in Madrid. The meeting will start at approximately 15:00 and end at 19:00. Translators of the full Toolkit and translators of the RDA Registry are invited to attend. |
| RSC Outreach Event in Madrid: "Preparing for the new RDA Toolkit" | 16 August 2017 |
On Monday, 23 October 2017, the RDA Steering Committee (RSC) will host "Preparing for the new RDA Toolkit," a half-day (morning) outreach event at the Biblioteca Nacional de España in Madrid. The agenda will include an update on the 3R Project (RDA Toolkit Restructure and Redesign Project) as well as brief discussions of some of the most pressing issues in RDA redevelopment. The RSC welcomes community input on these topics, especially since this event immediately precedes their annual meeting, where the 3R Project will continue to move forward. |

| Meeting with Specialist Cataloguing Communities | 13 June 2017 |
Members of the RDA Steering Committee (RSC) will be meeting with representatives from specialist cataloguing communities (cartographic, A-V, rare materials, archives, etc.) on June 26 in Chicago during the ALA Annual Conference. The discussion will focus on RDA's coverage of the cataloguing of such materials and where improvements might be made (addition of elements, etc.) The RSC is revising RDA content this year as part of the 3R Project: RDA Toolkit Restructure and Redesign Project. |
